Upon winning first prize in 1960 at the Normal Park Elementary School Art Show as a first grader, David Jones pretty much disappeared from the art scene. In 2008, after a 25-year career in banking and finance, he returned to art.

Using oil pastels, turpentine, paper towels, and sometimes sandpaper, he creates colorful, often multi-layered non-figurative works on cement Hardie board.

David's work can be found in the offices of the UTC Business Department, in Memorial Hospital's Heart Center and in various private collections including on Lookout Mountain, TN, Sewanee, TN, and Blue Ridge, GA.
